Summer Holiday. Hello Everyone! We hope you are all ok, enjoying some warmer weather in between the rain showers. We just wanted to let you know that we have decided to close the café for a week from Monday the 2nd of August to Sunday the 8th. Re-opening again on Monday the 9th. It’s not an easy decision to close the café for a week, especially as things are just starting to open up again, but we think it’s the best thing to do for us right now. Dine-in Again Again. Indoor hospitality is open again (again) and the timing is perfect because this weather sucks. Hailstones and torrential rain one minute and blue skies the next. Hardly the kind of weather conducive to eating outdoors and the kind of weather which has probably been a nightmare for those with outdoor space to plan for… how many staff to have on, how much food to order? Some Things We Have Been Working On... Salt the Radish have recently put together a number of documents and policies including a Diversity and Inclusion Policy, Recruitment Policy and a Complaints Procedure. It is not the norm for a business as small as ours to have these in place but we feel it important that they are produced to show our commitment to providing an inclusive working environment that promotes diversity within our team. Make-At-Home Brunch Kit You can now order make-at-home “banana bread works” and sweetcorn fritters brunch kits. These are two of our favourite brunches and we’ve been working hard to get them back in your home. Although you can get these dishes to takeaway from the café already (collection and via Deliveroo) we know that nothing beats a freshly made, hot, straight to the plate brunch. Dine In Again
As of the 4th of July we’re welcoming back sit-in customers to the cafe. It is not a decisions we have made lightly but after undertaking a full risk assessment of the space and with a number of strict measures in place we feel happy that we’re moving forward in a responsible way. There will be a maximum of 8 customers in the cafe at any one time and we’re continuing to take orders and payments through the hatch. Our full risk assessment can be found Here
