This is our house masala blend which comes in a 230ml glass jar. This is a combination of ground spices that we used in our cauliflower curry at our very first Right Said Veg supper club back in 2018. It has some of the usual spices you would find in a masala spice but the addition of poppy seeds and cloves make it really aromatic and quite delicious.
Try this masala in any South Asian recipe that calls for garam masala to add a different dimension to the dish. We especially like this in saag paneer. This spice mix can also be used as a seasoning on vegetables, fish and meat before roasting.
Ingredients: white poppy seeds, cumin seeds, fennel seeds, coriander seeds, black pepper, chilli flakes, cinnamon and cloves.
