Wrote the title then immediately googled “what is a jubilee”… turns out it’s an anniversary of an event usually denoting the 25th, 40th, 50th etc anniversary and in the case of Queen Lizzie… 70th! Spring / Summer Menu Has Landed. We’re very excited that we’re getting some warmer weather and some lighter days. It makes everything so much better, doesn’t it? Our menu has had a spring / summer update to reflect the season change. Say goodbye to dahl and porridge for another year. Say hello to our new and improved avocado toast with preserved lemon chimichurri, feta, tahini and sumac. Christmas Closure and Covid Response. Just a quick update to let you know that we are now operating as takeaway only until we close for Christmas. We’re short staffed and, as Covid is very much back, we want to reduce the risk to staff as much as we possibly can, so that they can make it home for Christmas this year. We’re also slightly extending our winter break, so our last day open is now Tuesday 21st December. We are fully closed from the 22nd December to the 3rd January. Back open again at 8am on the 4th! Winter Break. We choose to close the café over Christmas and New Year every year. We have done this since we opened in 2017 and it has become so important to us that all of the staff and the café itself gets this break, at the same time. A full closure / reset. Summer Holiday. Hello Everyone! We hope you are all ok, enjoying some warmer weather in between the rain showers. We just wanted to let you know that we have decided to close the café for a week from Monday the 2nd of August to Sunday the 8th. Re-opening again on Monday the 9th. It’s not an easy decision to close the café for a week, especially as things are just starting to open up again, but we think it’s the best thing to do for us right now.
