Our spring / summer menu has landed today. Mostly menu tweaks this time as we have loved our new brunch dishes so wanted to keep them around for as long as possible. You'll see the porridge replaced by our hazelnut and sesame granola with Greek yoghurt, rhubarb and strawberry compote, shiso leaf, blueberries and redcurrant. Also, some new lunch options: a summery hummus and kimchi sandwich with kholrabi slaw and our saffron roast chicken and potato sandwich with olive chimichurri. The 23rd of September was the Autumn equinox which marked a change in the season, shifting to longer nights than days. The weather is much cooler now and our cosy café is gearing up for a busy run through to December.
Our Autumn / Winter menu started on the 3rd October. We have new brunch dishes that reflect the season change and are welcoming back our much loved porridge. There will always be a warming soup or stew on our specials board and we have some new hot chocolate drinks that we think will make a lot of people happy.
Spring / Summer Menu Has Landed. We’re very excited that we’re getting some warmer weather and some lighter days. It makes everything so much better, doesn’t it? Our menu has had a spring / summer update to reflect the season change. Say goodbye to dahl and porridge for another year. Say hello to our new and improved avocado toast with preserved lemon chimichurri, feta, tahini and sumac. Important Dates for April. Hello! It’s been a long time since we did an update. It’s been a head in the sand, let’s get through winter situation. But now it is Spring!! We’re back with some important things to let you know. Our kitchen is closed on the 11th and 12th of April. Drinks, cakes and pastries are still available. Dine-in Again Again. Indoor hospitality is open again (again) and the timing is perfect because this weather sucks. Hailstones and torrential rain one minute and blue skies the next. Hardly the kind of weather conducive to eating outdoors and the kind of weather which has probably been a nightmare for those with outdoor space to plan for… how many staff to have on, how much food to order?
